Compiled by Sebastian and Herma Goeppert and Patrick Cramer.
Jean-Léon Steinhauslin, collector and owner of the only complete collection
of all illustrated books by Picasso, generously assisted in this project by
allowing us to consult works from the Collection. The catalogue
raisonné describes all the illustrated books, albums and catalogues
containing original etchings or lithographs by Pablo Picasso.
The volume begins with a poem written especially by P.A.Benoit followed by
a preface by the authors.
There follow the descriptions of the 156 titles, with 804
photolithographic plates of which 35 polychrome works are reproduced in
full colour whilst those in black and white are printed in black.
Facsimiles of the colophons of the books described, chronological and
alphabetical indexes of titles, and an index of authors and publishers
complete the work.
The book contains 430 pages and measures 12 9/16 x 9 1/16 in. / 320 x 230
mm. It is bound in cloth, has an illustrated coloured dustjacket and is
contained in a cloth slipcase.
French and English editions are published simultaneously (French edition
sold out).
